Dr. Francis Joseph ‘Frank’ Condon
CHERAW - Dr. Francis Joseph “Frank” Condon, 49, died May 31, 2008.
A funeral service was held June 4, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brock’s Mill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dr. Condon born, in New Rochelle, NY, a son of Beverly Jones Condon and the late Francis Joseph Condon. He was a graduate of University California at Irbine, Truman State University, and Michigan State University, where he received his doctorate degree in internal medicine. Dr. Condon was a dedicated physician, who enjoyed caring for his patients at Condon Medical Services. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed Michigan State basketball and football, cooking, playing the guitar, and singing.
Surviving are: wife, Jessica Teal Condon of the home; sons, Ian Condon and Sean Condon of Cheraw; step sons, Devon Ferry of Conway, MO and William Freeman of Lebanon, MO; mother, Beverly Jones Condon of Twin Falls, ID; brother, Steven Condon of Arizona; sisters, Theresa Kavanah, Marygrace Condon of Idaho, Christine Condon of California, and Peggy Lennon of New York.

Betty Bernice Gooden Jordan
PAGELAND - Betty Bernice Gooden Jordan, 77, died May 31, 2008.
A graveside service was held June 2, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Patrick, S.C.
Jordan born, in Patrick, S.C. she was a daughter of the late Coker and Mary McCoy Gooden. Mrs. Jordan was a retired nutrition site manager with Chesterfield County Council on Aging. She was a member of the Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Jordan was married to the late Hardy “Shine” Jordan and was also preceded in death by a son Randy Jordan and a sister Margie Lisenby.
Surviving are: sons, Leverne Jordan, Charles (Sara) Jordan, and David (Libby) Jordan all of Pageland; daughters, Debbie (Don) Helms and Jennifer Jordan of Pageland, and Jessica (Jamie) Weed of Lancaster, S.C.; brothers, Glenn Gooden of Ohio, Jerry Gooden of Columbia, S.C., and Ray Gooden of W VA; sister, Shelby Whitaker of Chesterfield; also five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, a number of step grandchildren, great-grand-children, and great- great-grandchildren.

Rudell Danzy Miller
PAGELAND—Rudell Danzy Miller, 72, died May 29, 2008. A funeral service was held June 2 at Nicey Grove Baptist Church in Pageland. Mrs. Miller was born September 28, 1935 to the late Willie and Edell Danzy Blackmon in Lee County, S.C. She joined Nicey Grove Baptist Church at an early age, where she served faithfully until her health failed. Throughout the years she served on the Usher Board, Prayer Warriors, Gospel Choir, and many other auxiliaries in the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Miller; one son, Leverne Miller; brother, Joe Nathan Williams; and a sister, Loretta Brown. Survivors include her son, Howard (Diane) Miller Jr. of Lancaster, S.C.; a sister, Geneva Harris of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brother, Tommie Lee Blackmon of Brooklyn, N.Y. and David (Sara) Blackmon of Darlington, S.C.; five grandchildren, Roselian Miller whom she reared like a daughter and lived with, Fredrick Miller, Leon Miller, James Miller, and Tonya Miller; nine great-grandchildren, Jontayvious, Marcus, Devin, Krystal, Deshawn, Deondrae, Markel, Jamon, and Malachi, all of Lancaster, S.C., many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Benjamin T. Truesdale
HEATH SPRINGS, S.C.—Benjamin T. Truesdale, 86, died Sat. May 31, 2008 at Springs Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held June 3 at Flint Ridge Baptist Church. He was born November 8, 1921 in Kershaw County, the son of the late Forrest Truesdale and Lula Mae Jones Truesdale and was the husband of the late Polly Blackmon Truesdale. Mr. Truesdale retired from Springs Industries Grace Bleachery and was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. He was a decorated World War II Veteran for the United States Army and won 5 Bronze Service Stars in Southern France. He is survived by his son Michael Ben “Mike” Truesdale and his wife Sandra of Lancaster, a daughter, Helen T. Hayes of Pageland, 6 grandchildren, Crystal Rogers, Amanda Chester, Paula Price, Tori Teal, Anna Truesdale, and Kayla Truesdale and 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Truesdale was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rev. Gary Hayes, 2 brothers, Howard Truesdale and Harold Truesdale, and a sister, Eloise Blackwell. Isabel Privette Tucker
EFFINGHAM, S.C. - Isabel Privette Tucker, 85 died May 31, 2008. A funeral service was held June 3, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Chesterfield.
Mrs. Tucker born, Texas, a daughter of the late Horrie H. and Myrtle Kissiah Privette. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lake City Church of God. Mrs. Tucker was married to the late Ernest Tucker and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Elaine Jones, brother, Levin Privette, and sister, Ethel Small.
Surviving are: sons, Ronnie (Dianne) Privette of Mt. Croghan, and Donald Tucker of Gibbs Town, N.J.; daughter, Janice Cox of Effingham, S.C.; brother, Leonard Privette of Morven, N.C.; half-brother, Horrie H. Privette, Jr. of High Point, N.C.; sister, Frauline Golson of Stone Mountain, GA; also six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
