Rosa Lee Gainey Myers Allen
PAGELAND – Rosa Lee Gainey Myers Allen, 64, died April 5, 2007 at her home. A funeral service was held April 8 at Oro United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Allen, born in Chesterfield County, was a daughter of Alice Myers and the late Leroy Gainey. She was a member of Oro United Methodist Church and was retired from Chesterfield Yarn Mill.
Surviving are husband Clemson Allen Sr.; children Marion Myers, of Pageland, Cynthia (Scottie) Lockhart, of Jefferson, Meshell (Billy) Blakeney, of Jefferson, Clemson Allen Jr., of Pageland, Lamont (Ann) Allen and Thomas Allen, of Columbia, S.C.; her mother of New York; brothers Alvin (Dorothy) Myers, of Jefferson, and Lavon Myers, of Pageland; and 13 grandchildren.

James Everette Brooks
CHESTERFIELD – James Everette Brooks, 60, died April 10, 2007. A funeral service was held April 13 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Brooks, born in Monroe, N.C., was a son of Barbara Brooks Helms and the late Lamar Brooks. He was an employee of Tyson Fresh Meats as senior field sales consultant. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam conflict and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by sons Dustin Brooks and Gerald Rhynes Jr.
Surviving are wife Rachael Teal Brooks; son Jonathan Brooks, of Monroe, N.C.; daughters Heather (Randy) Thomas, of Monroe, N.C. and Crystal (Bart) Douglas, of Clover, S.C.; mother Barbara Brooks (Stokes) Helms; sister Nancy (Danny) Levy, of Norwalk, Ohio; special aunt and uncle Bill (Marie) Brooks, of Monroe, N.C.; and three grandchildren.

Jerry E. Cook
CHERAW – Jerry E. Cook, 37, died April 10, 2007. A funeral service was held April 13 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with burial in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw.
Cook, born in Cheraw, was a son of the Letha A. Cook and the late Robert English Cook. He was a forklift operator in the textile industry. He was preceded in death by brother Edward Cook.
Surviving aare his mother; daughter Cassie Cook, of Chesterfield; brother James Cook, of Patrick; sisters Judy Williams, of Cheraw, Sue Johnson, of Chesterfield, Betty Outlaw, of Stephens City, Va., and Lisa Corbett, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; special brother-in-law Wayne Corbett, of Cheraw; niece Amber Cook; great niece Brooke Perkins; beloved and faithful pet Lucy.

Minnie Louise West Faulkenberry
FORT MILL,S.C. – Minnie Louise West Faulkenberry, 67, died April 7, 2007 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C. A funeral service was held Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Unity Cemetery.
Faulkenberry, born in Pageland, was a daughter of the late Mary Lee West Wright. She was retired from Perfect Fit and enjoyed playing bingo, babysitting grandchildren and going to Fish Camp on Saturday night.
Surviving are husband Albert Faulkenberry; daughters Cathy (Scott) Wilson, of Fort Mill, S.C., Jackie (Joey) Sutton, of Rock Hill, S.C. and Linda Brown, of Ga.; brothers, Thomas, and Bobby Gene Wright, both of Lancaster, Randy Wright, of Pageland, and Chris Wright of Polkton, N.C.; sisters Lillie Mae Mullis of Monroe, N.C., Barbara Jo Belk of Jefferson, Annette Catoe, of Lancaster, and Edith Griffin, of Tradesville; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Foster King
CHESTERFIELD – Foster King, 100, died April 9, 2007. A funeral service was held at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pine Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
King, born in Chesterfield, was a son of the late Henry Frank and Mary Etta “Mollie” Knight King. He was a retired clerk with Alcoa Aluminum Company with 40 years of service and a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by wife Ruby Mae Davis King; son Dewey Foster “Sonny” King; sisters Vivian K. Adams, Lela K. Carr, and Peggy Davis.
Surviving are grandchildren Sabrina King of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Scott King of New Orleans, La.; great grandsons Alex and Christopher; daughter-in-law, Dottie King, of Surprise, Ariz.; brother Frank King, of Salisbury, N.C.; sisters Bernice King, of Florence, S.C., Sue Lee Harmon, of Chesterfield, Julia (Bill) Hunter, of Charlotte, N.C., Helen (Dr. Jerry) Perry and Johnnie Long, of Chesterfield. Robert Bruce Price
JEFFERSON – Robert Bruce Price, 70, died April 11, 2007 at his home. A funeral service was held April 14 at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in church cemetery.
Price, born in Chesterfield County, was a son of the late Wade H. and Quincey Melton Price. He was a retired textile employee with Springs Industries and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by sisters Edith Mae Rollins and Louise Rollins; brothers Wade “Speck”, Dan, Ed, Roy, and Earl Price.
Surviving are wife Linda Johnson Price; brothers Hazel “Bud” Price, of Jefferson and Willis Price, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister Margaret Price, of Jefferson; three nieces and five nephews; and furry companion Baby.

Georgianna Rivers Davis
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Georgianna Rivers Davis, 57, died March 30, 2007 at CMC-Charlotte, N.C. A funeral service was held April 4 at Mt. Airy A.M.E. Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Davis, born in Chesterfield County, was a daughter of the late Louis and Ruthie Rivers Horne.
She was preceded in death by husband Alexander Davis,III; son Casey Davis; sister Cynthia Horne; brother Rufus Horne.
Surviving are sons Christopher Davis, of Greensboro, N.C., Derek (Shantel) Davis, and Demetrais (Roeshell) Davis, both of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Julia (Eddie) Corbett, of Killeen, Texas, Alice (Allison) Vanterpool, of High Point, N.C. and Betty Mayes, of Greensboro, N.C.; brothers John (Gloria) Hardin and Jessie Horne, both of Greensboro, N.C., Ricky (Glenda) Horne, of Pleasant Garden, N.C. and Danny (Bonita) Horne, of Greensboro,N.C.; and 16 grandchildren.

Mary Pittman Johns
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Mary Pittman Johns, 51, died April 9, 2007. A memorial service was held April 11 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel in Chesterfield.
Johns, born in Chesterfield County, was a daughter of the late Thomas William and Idell Sellers Pittman. She was a former seamstress and a member of Welsh Neck Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by daughter Marlene Tolson; brothers Junior and William Tolson; sisters Marilyn Pittman and Kathleen Donahue.
Surviving are son James Ashley Tolson of Millbrook, Ala.; grandson Joseph Brock Tolson; sisters Carolyn Pittman, of Albemarle, N.C. and Hazel Felder, of New London, N.C.; niece Kathy Donahue; nephew, Jason Donahue, both of Society Hill, S.C.

Viola C. Watson
CHESTERFIELD – Viola C. Watson, 75, died April 3, 2007 at Providence Hospital, Columbia, S.C. A funeral service was held April 9 at Mt. Airy A.M.E. Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Watson, born in Chesterfield County, was a daughter of the late Coit and Mae Helen Goins Melton. She was retired from Ruby Elementary School after 37 years of service and a member of Mt. Airy A.M.E. Zion Church.
Surviving are children Mae Melton of Chesterfield, Louise (Donnie) Moore, of Cheraw, Frances (John) Wilson, of Ruby, Robert Lee (Katrina) Cash, of Patrick, Patricia Cash (John Little), of Chesterfield, the Rev. Diane (Clayton) Belk, of Chesterfield, Chester Lowery of Charlotte, N.C. and Icy (Anthony) Douglas, of Chesterfield; sisters Sara Wilson, Mildred Miller, Helen Ratliff, Nancy (Freddie) Lindsey and Sylvia Almodovar, all of Charlotte, N.C.; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren one great-great grandson.

Lawton McKay ‘Mac’ Wynn
WINNSBORO, N.C. – Lawton McKay “Mac” Wynn, age 4, died April 5, 2007 at Richland Memorial Hospital. A funeral service was held April 7 at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church with burial in Fairfield Memorial Gardens.
He was the son of Warren Wade and Delila “Lila” McKay Wynn and was born in Columbia, S.C. He was baptized at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving along with parents; brother Wyatt Ward Wynn of the home; grandparents Willliam and Patricia Wynn, of San Antonio, Texas, Dianne and Larry Guyton of Winnsboro and Kenny Mangum, of Pageland; great grandmother Margaret Wynn, of San Antonio, Texas.
