Synora Bra Shae Coleman
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Synora Bra Shae Coleman, died June 19, 2008 at her home. A graveside service was held June 26, 2008 at Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery. Coleman, born in Charlotte, a daughter of Sy-Miles Coleman and Courtney Chambers.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Wayne Anthony Andrews and Lucille Andrews, Johnnie Mae Coleman, Paul Price and Fodie McNair Price. Surviving are: her parents; grandparents, Mr. and Booker T. Chambers, Sr of Pageland; Sylvia Coleman of Charlotte; and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Flemming Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Walter Preston Bruner
CHERAW — Walter Preston Bruner, age 87, died Thursday, June 19, 2008. Services were held June 22 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
Bork in Cheraw, Bruner was a son of the late George Harmon and Margaret Christine Hammonds Bruner. He was a retired employee of Jackson Oil Company and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Bruner was a member of the WOW Lodge 516 for over 50 years. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he served in various positions in the church, including the Administrative Council, Cemetery Committee, Sunday school teacher, and Men’s Club. He was also a faithful member of the choir for 40 years. Walter was a humble man with a strong faith and was committed to and loved his family and church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Bruner Jones Fisher, and by his three brothers, Paul Boyd, John Thomas and George Harman Bruner.
He is survived by wife of 58 years: Alieth Watson Bruner; son Walter Michael Bruner of Cheraw, daughters Patsy Bruner (Mike) Orr and Jo Anne Bruner Fields both of Cheraw; sisters-in-law Arie Bruner and Lucille Winecoff both of Cheraw; six grandchildren and one great grandchild and numerous Nieces and Nephews

Joyce Ann Krapp
SOCIETY HILL — Joyce Ann Krapp, 51, died June 16, 2008 at her home. A funeral service was held June 19, 2008 at Flemming Funeral Chapel in Cheraw.
Krapp, born in Rockingham, was a daughter of the late Ishmel and Wilma Hawkins. She attended the public schools of Richmond County of NNC. She was employed with INA Bearing of Cheraw, until her health failed. She had several hobbies including painting, crocheting and entertaining friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her special pet Dachshunds, Amber and Ace.
She was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Walter Hawkins.
Surviving are husband, Otmar Krapp of the home; daughter, Kimberly (Marlo) Mungo of Chesterfield; son, Benjamin (Nikki) Turnage, Jr of Morven, N.C.; grandsons, Aaron Turnage, Trenton Turnage and Caiden Mungo; granddaughters, Marlana Mungo and Trinity Turnage; sisters, Gloria H. (John) Pratt of Rockingham, Deloris (Nelson David of Hamlet, N.C., Nancy H. Pratt of Rockingham and Peggy H. (Donald) Baldwin of Marston, N.C.; adopted brother, Cornell (Shawton) Thomas of Eden, GA; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law of Germany; uncle Dan (Sharon) Hawkins of Detroit, MI; aunts, Minnie Noble, Shirley Gaslow both of Detroit, MI, Nellie Ruth of Baltimore, MD, Ann Thomas of Hamlet, Ruth McNair of Rockingham; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Pearl Nash Rorie
MARSHVILLE, N.C. — Pearl Nash Rorie, 89, died June 23, 2008 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. A funeral service was held June 26, 2008 at McEwen Colonial Chapel with burial in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rorie, born in Union County, was a daughter of the late Dwight D. and Martha Smith Nash.
She was preceded in death by husbands Preston Rorie and Horce Rorie; brothers, Brice Glenn and Banks Nash; sisters, Zetta Ggriffin and Eva Plyler; grandson, Morris Sneed.
Survivng are: sons, Charles Rorie of Pageland, Cecil Rorie of Jefferson; daughter, Joan R. Sneed of Lancaster, three grandchildren; and nine great-granchildren. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of one’s choice.

Tracy Emmett Sikes
Mt. Croghan — Tracy Emmett Sikes, age 91, died June 20, 2008 at his home. Services were held June 23, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in the Mt. Croghan Memorial Park.
Born in Mt. Croghan, Sikes was a son of the late Jack and Blanche Lowery Sikes. He was a farmer and a retired employee of Burlington Industries with 32 years of service. Sikes was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his cattle and fox hunting. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Tracy was married to the late Analiza Burch Sikes and was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Ronny W. Cato and his 5 brothers, Rudolph, Owen, William, Jewel, and Eli Sikes, and his sister Eunice Sikes Rayfield.
Surviving are daughter Sylvia Sikes Cato of Pageland; sons Glynn (Billie Ann) Sikes of Chesterfield, and Bill Sikes of the home; grand daughters Rhonda Cato (Mike) Graves, Tammy Sikes (Harold) Cooke, Glenda Sikes Freeman, and Caroline Sikes (Doug) Tyler; great Grandchildren: David and Ryan Graves, Grant and Nicholas Cooke, Chase, Lanie, and Jonathan Freeman, and Trace Tyler, and caregiver Louise Burch.

John Lunn Streater
Clarksville, Tenn. — John Lunn Streater, 74, died June 8, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held June 16 at Hopkinsville VA Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Ky.
Streater was the oldest child of the late Lonnie Streater and the late Candys Hillian Streater. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army and served 24 years of active duty. He retired with an honorable discharge after a successful career. Mr. Streater graduated from Austin Peay University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He pursued his career until his health began to fail him.
Streater was married to the former Josephine Sanders. To this marital union two children were born: Juan L. Streater of Altus, Oklahoma and Jody L. Streater of Clarksville, Tennessee. Two grandchildren: Juan Streater, Jr. of Germany and Michelle Streater of Altus, Oklahoma.
Surviving are sisters Theodora Streater (Alexander) Parker and Ruth E. Streater of Greensboro, N.C.; Amanda Streater (Thomas) Davis and James (Callie) Streater of Florence, S.C.; Loretta Streater (Marine) McNeal of Chesterfield; Gladys Streater (James) Sweeney of Cheraw, Katherine Streater Binns of Patrick, and Cynthia Ann Streater of Allendale, S.C.; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caretakers Rita Planinsek, Jessica Dunn and Jennifer Legarty of Woodlawn, Tennessee.

MARSHVILLE, N.C. - Mauricio A. Paulino Jr., 20, died June 23, 2008. A Prayer Service was held on June 28, 2008 during visitation with cremation to follow the services. He was born on March 1, 1988 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was in the Music business.
Survivng are: his parents, John and Ana Chirillo of Marshville, NC, grandmother, Irenes Colon of Indian Trail, NC, brothers, John S. Chirillo and Mark A. Chirillo both of Marshville, NC, sister, Stacy Diaz and her husband Edgardo of Monroe, N.C and a nephew, Edgardo Adriel Diaz of Monroe, N.C.
