Dorothy ‘Dot’ Sellers Gaskins
CHESTERFIELD – Dorothy “Dot” Sellers Gaskins, 83, died November 22, 2007 at her home. A funeral service was held
November 24 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Gaskins, born in Chesterfield, was a daughter of the late Lucas Sellers and Beulah Brock Parker. She was a cosmetologist and was owner and operator of Dot’s Beauty Shop for over 50 years. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Fred E. Gaskins and son Tony A. Merriman. Surviving are sons Ronnie (Debbie) Merriman of Cheraw, Freddie (Helen) Gaskins of North, SC and Bennie Gaskins of Chesterfield; daughter Barbara Ann (Bob) Wilks of Chesterfield; six grandchildren Wendy (Doug) Boan, Lee (Jenn) Merriman, Matthew, Melissa, Boykin and Lindsey Gaskins; two great grandchildren Jamie and Amber Boan; special cousin Frank Lear of the home. Charles Dennis Helms
LANCASTER, S.C. - Charles Dennis Helms, 54, died Nov. 15, 2007. A funeral service was held Nov. 18 at Sutton Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greater Vision Church cemetery.
He was the son of the late Charlie and Ruby Tadlock Helms.
Surviving are son Hilton Helms of Patrick; daughter Charlene Helms of Patrick; sisters Linda Mullis, Robin Lewis and Dawn Morris of Pageland, Barbara Matthews of Lancaster, S.C.

Harriet Griggs Huntley
CHESTERFIELD - Harriet Griggs Huntley, 52, died Nov. 14, 2007 at her home. A graveside service was held Nov. 20 at Ruby cemetery.
Huntley, born in Wadesboro, N.C., was a daughter of Barbara Anne Chewning Griggs and the late Michael J. Griggs. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended Greenville Technical College.
She was preceded in death by sister Susan Elizabeth Griggs.
Surviving are son Will (Erin) Huntley of Pittsburgh,PA; granddaughter Aubree Huntley of Pittsburgh, PA; mother Barbara Griggs of Darlington, S.C.; brother Jimmy (Jurai) Griggs of Roiet, Thailand; two nieces Jennifer and Dua Griggs of Thailand. Jimmy R. Johnson
PAGELAND – Jimmy R. Johnson, 54, died Nov. 17, 2007. A funeral service was held at Sutton Funeral Home Chapel. Johnson, born in Chesterfield County, was a son of the late Jessie and Evelyn Johnson.
Surviving are wife Carolyn W. Johnson; son Jimmy R. Johnson Jr. of Pageland; daughters Marie Moree and Jennifer McGee of Pageland; brothers James Johnson and Dan Eason of Jefferson, Bryan Eason of Rock Hill, S.C.; sisters Linda Kay, Mary Elizabeth Snipes of Mt. Croghan.

John Henry Rollins
PAGELAND – John Henry Rollins, 66, died Nov. 17, 2007. A funeral service was held at Sutton Funeral Home Chapel.
Rollins, born in Union County, N.C., was a son of the late Lee Koy and Bertie Starnes Rollins.
Surviving are wife Jo Lee Starnes Rollins; son Bobby Joe Rollins of Pageland; daughter Carolyn Rollins of Pageland; brother Jack Rollins of Monroe, N.C.; sisters Georgie Mae Hancock and Diane Rollins of Pageland, Dorothy McManus Wallace of Moores Hill, La.

Harold William Sherrin
LANCASTER, S.C. – Harold William Sherrin, 56, died Nov. 20, 2007 at his home. A service to celebrate his life was held Nov. 25 at the Chapel of the Lancaster Funeral Home.
Sherrin, born in Monroe, N.C., was a son of Lucille Deason Sherrin and the late Claude William Sherrin. He was a member of the House of Prayer, the American Red Cross and was a Truck Rodeo Champ.
He was preceded in death by sister Karen Medlin.
Surviving are wife Melissa W. Sherrin; daughters Rebecca and Abigail Sherrin of Lancaster, Melissa Sherrin of Boston; mother Lucille Sherrin of Lancaster; brothers Kent Sherrin of Denver, N.C. and Dale Sherrin of Lancaster, S.C.; sister Rita S. Sumner of Prosperity,S.C.; granddaughter Karalena Sherrin of Lancaster.

Judy Diane Crump Tarleton
MT.CROGHAN - Judy Diane Crump Tarleton, 56, died Nov. 18, 2007. A funeral service was held Nov. 21 at Shining Light Baptist Church with burial in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Tarleton, born in Union County, was a daughter of Peggy Gray Crump and the late Tommy Crump.
Surviving are husband, Johnny R. Tarleton; son Tommy James Willhite of Mims, FL; daughters Peggy Deese of Wadesboro, N.C. and Lisa Stamp of Mt. Croghan; seven grandchildren.
