Tony Lee Blackwell
LANCASTER, S.C. – Tony Lee Blackwell, 51, of Edgemoor, died June 14, 2007. A funeral service was held June 18 at White Springs Baptist Church with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Blackwell, born in Kershaw, was a son of Quincy Bynum “Buddy” Blackwell and the late Lucy Maxine Phillips Blackwell. He was a carpenter and a member of White Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Michael (Jessica) Blackwell of Pageland; father and step-mother, Quincy (Juanita) Blackwell of Lancaster; sisters, Beverly Tolbert of Westville and Candace (Mark) Aivaz of Kershaw; step-brother, Henry Terry of Chester; step-sisters, Pam (Trent) Carnes of Lancaster and Angela (Scott) Sims of Heath Springs.

Donna Joyce (Corbeil) Boggs
CLAY, W.Va. – Donna Joyce (Corbeil) Boggs, 56, of Airport Rd. Mt. Croghan, S.C., died June 14, 2007. A funeral service was held in Clay, WVA under the direction of Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home with burial in Reed cemetery.
Boggs, born in Massachusetts, was a daughter of Elaine Charbonneau Corbeil of Mansfield and the late Donald J. Corbeil. For the past 17 years, Mrs. Boggs worked for the Chesterfield County School District in South Carolina where she was currently employed as a school administrator and vice principal of Pageland Elementary School. She recently returned to Massachusetts to be with her entire family as she faced illness with courage and bravery. Her life centered around her family and her responsibilities as a devoted, passionate educator. An ardent gardener, she was well known for her “green thumb” and beautiful flower boxes.
Surviving are husband of 35 years, Michael J. Boggs of Mt. Croghan; her mother; daughters, Susan Michelle (Jason) Frigon of North Attleboro, MA and Rachael (companion Bruce Douglas) of Mt. Croghan; granddaughter, Saoirse Frigon of North Attleboro, MA; brother, Richard Corbeil of Attleboro; sister, Susan (Michael) O’Neil of Foxboro, MA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, colleagues, present and past admiring students, respectively.

Charles Elliott Boykin
LANCASTER, S.C. – Charles Elliott Boykin, 52, of Mt. Croghan, died June 13, 2007 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. A funeral service was held June 16 at New Life Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Boykin, born in Lancaster, was a son of Willie Mae Evans Boykin of Mt. Croghan and the late William Yancy Boykin.
Surviving along with mother; brothers, John Boykin of Lancaster, Joseph and Eugene Boykin of Mt. Croghan; sister, Patricia Maslin of Pageland.

Geri Pate Crowley
PATRICK – Geri Pate Crowley, 64, died June 14, 2007. A funeral service was held June 17 at St. John Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Bethesda United Methodist Church cemetery.
Crowley, born in Lancaster, S.C., was a daughter of the late Reverend John William Pate and Ruby Crimmiger Pate Catoe. She was a retired employee of Stanley Tools and was a member of St. John Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooke McCray.
Surviving are husband, Jack Crowley; son, Robby Crowley of Florence, S.C.; daughters, Sherry Crowley and Jackie (Patrick) Crowley of Patrick, Shelia (David) Tyner of Laurinburg, N.C.; brother, Gary Pate of Lancaster, S.C.; four grandchildren, Nicole Tyner, Karen (Jeremy) Odom, Daniel Tyner and Brandon McCray; one great grandchild, Gabriel Odom.

Jewell Edward Gulledge
CHESTERFIELD – Jewell Edward Gulledge, 73, died June 15, 2007. A funeral service was held June 19 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.
Gulledge, born in Chesterfield, was a son of the late Thomas and Leila Rollings Gulledge. He was a retired guard with the Chesterfield County Correctional Complex and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Surviving are wife, Betty Oliver Gulledge; daughters, Ann (Jason) Perkins of Chesterfield and Sarah Gulledge of the home; granddaughter, Breanna Jewell Perkins; brother, Don Gulledge of Oklahoma.

J. Clinton Morris
CHESTERFIELD – J. Clinton Morris, 90, died June 17, 2007. A funeral service was held June 20 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sandy Plains United Methodist Church cemetery.
Morris, born in Chesterfield, was a son of the late John Luke and Rosa Campbell Morris. He was a retired merchant and a faithful member of David’s Grove Baptist Church where he served as deacon for 49 years. He was a member of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge #220.
He was preceded in death by wife, Reatha Brown Morris; granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Berry and brother, Fletcher Morris. Surviving are son, Jerry Morris of Chesterfield; daughter, Linda (Marion) Berry of Chesterfield; two grandchildren, Heather Morris of Darlington and Dixon Berry of Hurt, Va..

PAGELAND – Richard “Rick Knight” Morrow, 60, died June 18, 2007. A funeral service was held June 20 at Smyrna Baptist Church.

David Wayne Tucker
Ruby – David Wayne Tucker, 56, died June 16, 2007 at his home. A funeral service was held June 20 at Clanton Plains Baptist Church with burial in Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.
Tucker, born in Chesterfield County, was a son of the late Jack and Nezzie Oliver Tucker. He was a retired employee of Caro-Knit with 25 years of service as lead operator. He was a member of Clanton Plains Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by sisters, Brenda Farmer and Doris Raffaldt.
Surviving are son, Rodney (fiance’ Joann Tucker) Tucker of Ruby; daugher, Angie (fiance’ Michael Wortman) of Belmont, N.C.; brothers, Leslie (Rita) Tucker and Jackie Tucker of Ruby; sister, Carolyn (Tommy) Hilton of Ruby; two grandchildren, Amber and Kanzas Oliver.

Jaiden Marissa Wilson
CHERAW – Jaiden Marissa Wilson, 5, died June 12, 2007 at Children Healthcare of Atlanta, Ga. A funeral service was held June 17 at Fisher Hill Community Baptist Church with burial in Foundry Hill cemetery.
Wilson, born in Florence, S.C., was a daughter of Hendrix Q. Wilson and Marlo L. Young.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Anna Mae Lovelady; grandfathers, Legrand Bridges, Sr. and Henry Hooks; great grandparents, George and Helena Wilson and Tyram Hooks Sr.
Surviving along with parents are sisters, Joselyn Wilson of the home, Kaleah and Kaylah Wilson both of Lexington, KY; brother, Tyjuan Penick of Alexandria, VA; grandparents, Geraldine Young of Cheraw, June Young of Cheraw, George and Dorothy Wilson of Blythewood, SC and Gerald Lovelady of Cheraw; great grandmothers, Lorraine Bridges and Pauline Hooks both of Cheraw; great grandmother, Anna Hooks of Cheraw; host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Frances Rebecca ‘Reba’ McClain Rushton Williamson
HODGES, S.C. — Frances Rebecca “Reba” McClain Rushton Williamson, 93, died June 19, 2007. Funeral serviced were held June 21 at Hodges Church of God with burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Willie C. and Minnie Lee Gilmer McClain.
She was preceded in death by husbands George Bell Rushton and L.S. Williamson and also two sons, Billy Rushton and Marvin Rushton. She was the last survivor of her siblings, which included Blease, Dewey, Marion, Gilbert, Nellie and Eugenia.
She was retired from Chicola Mills in Honea Path and was a member of Hodges Church of God, where she was a member of the Silver Bells Sunday School Class and a former member of the choir.
Surviving are daughters Flo Bates, Joyce Elliott and Belle Townsend; a stepson, Bob Williamson; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, including Charity McBride, of Pageland; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
